A design concept for a console UI that manages topics, sources, and claims with AI-first, human-final workflows. The interface emphasizes traceability, topic-based views, and verification interfaces that keep humans in control of claims.

Problem

Knowledge management tools tend to fall into two camps: fully manual systems that don’t scale, or fully automated ones that sacrifice traceability. Neither works well for research-heavy workflows where both speed and accuracy matter.

Approach

FactBase proposes three core interfaces: a Dashboard for monitoring research health across topics, a Topic Detail view for deep-diving into specific domains, and a Claim Review interface for human verification of AI-generated assertions. The design balances AI-generated suggestions with explicit human approval gates.

What This Demonstrates

Product design thinking, AI-augmented UX patterns, information architecture for complex data, and systems thinking about how humans and AI can collaborate on knowledge management without sacrificing either speed or accuracy.
